Structural enhancements included replacing walls with slim wood panels (2-3 cm thick) to delineate living spaces and incorporating wooden columns for structural support, discreetly concealed by matching wood panel ridges.
Structural Enhancement
To augment natural lighting in the corridors, wood panels were strategically installed without direct ceiling attachment.
Maximising Natural light
Notably, the bed was custom-built as an integral part of the interior architecture, reflecting the overall identity and structure of the building rather than functioning as standalone furniture.
In-built bedframe
The majority of materials were integrated into built-in storage units, seamlessly marrying functionality with aesthetics.
Integrated Storage
The original structure, an older house, underwent extensive redesign and remodelling.
Extensive Re-design
The permanent (build-in) feature installation approach distinguishes it as more than just interior design; it's a fundamental element of the building's identity.
Design Identity
The exceptional cleanliness and organisation of the space contributed to its hotel-like, relaxing ambiance.
Clean Holiday home Aesthetic
This inviting, clean and relaxing atmosphere significantly enhanced its appeal for potential renters when the family was not using the residence.
